Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Boca Raton, FL for a Director of Special Events. The Director of Special Events will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events to support the organization's mission. This includes managing event budgets, developing event strategies, overseeing event production, fostering sponsorship and fundraising opportunities, and ensuring the seamless delivery of events. The individual will collaborate with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to create impactful and meaningful experiences that align with the organization's goals.
Qualifications
- Skills in Event Planning and Event Management to effectively organize and execute successful events.
- Expertise in Budgeting and Financial Oversight to manage event budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Proficiency in Sales and Sponsorship Development to secure event funding and partnerships.
- Experience in Event Production, including on-site coordination and logistical management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to lead teams and ensure collaborative success.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Previous experience in the non-profit sector or supporting military-focused organizations is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
