Role Overview
We are seeking a Recruiter who is passionate about veteran employment and thrives in a startup environment. This role will own end-to-end recruiting while building veteran-focused talent pipelines, partnerships, and hiring strategies. You will work closely with founders and hiring managers to scale our team with purpose and speed.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and non-technical roles
- Actively source, engage, and hire military veterans and military-connected talent
- Translate military experience into civilian job qualifications for hiring managers
- Build and manage talent pipelines through veteran networks and sourcing tools
- Partner with hiring managers to define roles, qualifications, and interview plans
- Educate internal stakeholders on military culture, skills translation, and inclusive hiring
- Establish partnerships with veteran service organizations, transition programs, and military bases
- Manage job postings, applicant tracking, and candidate communications
- Ensure an exceptional candidate experience from first contact through onboarding
- Support employer branding efforts focused on veteran hiring and inclusion
- Track and report recruiting metrics (time to fill, diversity of pipeline, conversion rates)
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience (startup experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting and sourcing techniques
- Passion for veteran hiring, diversity, and mission-driven work
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
