Role
The Manager, Supply and production Planning is responsible for ensuring optimal product availability and inventory levels across the company’s supply chain. This role oversees finished goods supply planning, ERP master data governance, and data-driven operational analysis to support business growth.
The position translates demand forecasts into purchasing and supply plans, determines finished goods replenishment needs, and ensures appropriate inventory levels are maintained at the company’s distribution centers to support both eCommerce and B2B channels. This role will also participate in operational vendor discussions to align production capacity and supply plans, while collaborating with the procurement team that manages the commercial vendor relationship.
Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Supply Management
Develop and maintain finished goods supply plans aligned with demand forecasts, inventory targets, and service level objectives.
Determine which finished products must be purchased or produced based on forecast demand, inventory levels, and supplier lead times.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels across company distribution centers to support both eCommerce and B2B fulfillment requirements.
Monitor inventory health and proactively manage stockouts, backorders, and excess inventory risks.
Establish and maintain replenishment strategies and safety stock levels to support business growth and service targets.
- Demand Planning Collaboration
Partner closely with the Demand Planning team to review forecasts, demand trends, and future product requirements.
Evaluate future inventory and production needs to support expected demand increases, new product launches, and business growth initiatives.
Provide operational input into demand planning cycles to ensure forecasts are aligned with production capacity, supplier lead times, and inventory strategy.
Support scenario planning and supply readiness to accommodate changes in demand and market opportunities.
- Vendor Coordination & Production Alignment
Participate in vendor production and planning calls to ensure supply plans align with manufacturing capacity and lead times.
Communicate forecast requirements and production needs to procurement/vendor management team.
Collaborate closely with the procurement/vendor management team, which owns the commercial vendor relationships.
Ensure vendor production schedules support inventory targets and product launch timelines.
- ERP Master Data Governance
Own the creation and maintenance of items and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the company ERP system.
Ensure accuracy of product structures, component relationships, and planning parameters.
Maintain master data integrity to support planning, purchasing, costing, and inventory visibility.
Establish and enforce ERP data governance standards.
- Data Analytics & Reporting
Develop dashboards and analytical tools to support inventory planning, supply chain performance, and operational decision making.
Analyze trends in demand, inventory levels, supplier lead times, and fulfillment performance.
Provide insights that improve forecast accuracy, service levels, and working capital efficiency.
Partner with cross-functional teams to leverage data for continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience with Cosmetics or CPG products
3 to 5 years of Planning experience, Demand, Supply or Production Planning.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering or Business Management Degree
