Senior Product Designer (Contract)
Location: Remote or local to Columbus Ohio
Summary:
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join a fast-paced product team and help deliver engaging, user-centered experiences across mobile and web platforms. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in Agile environments, collaborates deeply with cross-functional teams, and can take ownership of design work with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to design user-centered solutions
- Translate business and user needs into intuitive product experiences
- Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs
- Develop rapid prototypes to validate concepts and iterate quickly
- Contribute to and work within established design systems
- Present design work and rationale to stakeholders and leadership
- Partner in Agile processes including backlog grooming and user story creation
- Provide feedback and mentorship to other designers
Required Qualifications:
- 5–7+ years of experience in product or UX design
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both UX and UI design work
- Experience working within cross-functional Agile product teams
- Expertise in mobile and mobile-first web design
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with design systems and scalable design practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing native mobile applications
- Background in ecommerce or consumer-facing products
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with design research and usability testing methods
