Plenums is looking to hire a SolidWorks designer to design products in sheet metal. It is a fast-paced environment with many custom products designed on a regular basis.
The designer must be familiar with production process and adept at identifying new ways of making products with different equipment. The designer should also have a basic knowledge of programming for automated production equipment.
The designer must be comfortable walking out to the shop floor to troubleshoot problems and be able identify ways to improve products with a constant attention to DFM (design for manufacture) working closely with shop personnel.
Skills in designing in SolidWorks must be demonstrated and a design test will be administered at the time of interview. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication is desirable. A positive attitude and an eagerness to learn and improve oneself and Plenums are required.
