🌟 The Role
As a Billing & Payroll Specialist, you’ll be at the financial engine of Sora Care.
You’ll own the processes that ensure:
- Claims are submitted correctly
- Revenue is tracked and reconciled
- Caregivers are paid accurately and on time
Your work directly impacts families and caregivers every single week.
This is an entry-level role designed for someone who is:

🔎 What You’ll Do
Own Medicaid Billing Operations
- Submit timely, accurate Medicaid claims across multiple states
- Review timesheets, service documentation, eligibility, and authorizations
- Track claims from submission to payment
- Investigate and resolve denials, rejections, and pended claims
- Reconcile remittance advice and payment reports
Drive Revenue Accuracy
- Maintain clean, audit-ready billing and payroll records
- Monitor aging reports and outstanding receivables
- Support audits and internal quality reviews
- Help strengthen reporting systems and revenue visibility
Power Caregiver Payroll
- Support accurate caregiver payroll processing
- Verify pay rates, hours, and documentation
- Partner cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies quickly
Build Better Systems
- Identify workflow improvements
- Increase billing accuracy and speed
- Help scale payer and payroll operations as we grow
🧠What You Bring
- 0–2 years of experience (internships welcome!)
- Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets)
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and deadline management
- Comfort handling sensitive financial and healthcare data
- A mindset of ownership — you see problems and solve them
