Web Designer (Front-end)
Charlotte, NC | Full-time or Part-time | In-person / Hybrid | Monday–Friday
Position Summary
We are looking for a creative and reliable Web Designer to join our growing team at Donau Marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for building, updating, and maintaining client websites using WordPress, Elementor and GHL, as well as supporting our marketing team with landing pages, design updates, and online content.
This position is hands-on and production-focused. You will work closely with our account executives and marketing team to create modern, professional websites that look great, load fast, and help businesses grow.
This is not a remote freelance role. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team environment, collaborating in the office, and being part of a fast-growing local company. Hybrid work may be possible after the training period.
Responsibilities
- Build and design websites using WordPress and Elementor
- Update and maintain existing client websites
- Create responsive, mobile-friendly layouts
- Upload and format text, images, and content
- Set up plugins, forms, and basic integrations
- Implement basic SEO settings (titles, descriptions, keywords, images)
- Optimize website speed and usability
- Fix layout and technical issues when needed
- Work with account executives and marketing team on client projects
- Follow internal workflow and meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- Experience with WordPress and Elementor required
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus
- Basic knowledge of HTML / CSS is a plus
- Experience with SEO plugins is a plus
- Experience with landing pages, funnels, or email platforms is a plus
- Minimum 1 year of web design / graphic / digital production experience preferred
- Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Reliable, responsible, and team-oriented
- Must be able to work in-office in Charlotte (hybrid possible after onboarding)
- Portfolio required
