We are seeking a detail-oriented candidateto manage day-to-day accounting tasks and support our HR functions, including payroll. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, processes, and people, and who is comfortable multitasking across accounting and basic HR duties.
Key Responsibilities
📘 Accounting & Bookkeeping (Primary Role)
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (Advantage).
- Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Reconcile credit card and vendor accounts monthly.
- Prepare invoices, track payments, and assist with follow-up on outstanding receivables if needed.
- Assist the Controller with month-end and year-end reporting.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and support journal entries.
- Work with the controller as required.
👥 HR/Administrative Support (As Needed)
- Maintain employee records related to benefits and payroll deductions.
- Assist payroll with accurate benefits-related deductions and updates.
- Provide general administrative support to leadership or HR.
- Process Payroll using ADP
Qualifications
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
- Experience with Advantage is a plus, but not required.
- Understanding payroll basics (even if not running payroll).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with employees and vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with basic HR compliance (optional but helpful).
- Experience coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to improve or streamline processes.
- Comfortable in a small business environment.
