About The Role
Bochner PLLC is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our Litigation Group. This position supports attorneys handling matters across all stages of litigation and is open to entry‑level candidates with administrative or legal support experience as well as mid‑level paralegals with hands‑on litigation experience.
Prior paralegal experience or certification is not required for entry‑level candidates. We are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an interest in litigation. Candidates with prior litigation paralegal experience may be asked to complete a brief assignment prior to the initial interview.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail‑oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, remote work environment while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation Support
- Assist attorneys with day‑to‑day support of litigation matters at various stages
- Prepare, organize, and manage electronic case files and litigation documents
- Draft, format, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, correspondence, and exhibits
- Support document collection, organization, and review during discovery
- Prepare materials for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
- Assist with electronic filing in federal and state courts (training provided, if needed)
- Maintain and monitor litigation calendars, deadlines, and reminders
Administrative & Practice Support
- Provide general administrative support to litigation attorneys as needed
- Manage attorney calendars, including court conferences, deadlines, depositions, and logistics
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files
- Assist with billing support, time entry tracking, and administrative reporting as needed
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Serve as a point of contact for internal staff, clients, vendors, and court personnel
- Perform additional non‑billable administrative duties as assigned
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to ensure smooth matter management
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to a collaborative, solution‑oriented team environment
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered
- Entry‑level candidates: Prior office, administrative, or legal assistant experience required
- Mid‑level candidates: Prior litigation paralegal or litigation support experience preferred
- Willingness to learn litigation procedures, court rules, and filing systems
- Prior experience with federal or state court filings a plus, but not required
- Prior experience with Florida litigation practices (state or federal) a plus, but not required
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional judgment, discretion, and reliability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines
Preferred But Not Required
- Experience preparing Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities
- Experience using Westlaw
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Sedentary role with extended periods of sitting and computer use
- Regular typing and document handling
- Occasional standing, walking, and movement within office or court settings
- Regular verbal communication with attorneys, staff, and clients
- Ability to use standard office equipment and computer systems
- Close visual acuity for reviewing documents and working on screens
