Job Purpose and Scope
The Dior Business Director is responsible for delivering sales growth, market share expansion, and brand execution across assigned Dillard’s locations within a multi-state territory. This role partners closely with Store Managers, Beauty Sales Managers, and Dior leadership to drive the Dior sales plan, develop high-performing teams, and execute strategic business initiatives.
The Dior Business Director leads business planning, event execution, talent development, and customer relationship management efforts to ensure alignment with Dillard’s and Dior brand standards. This position requires regular travel within the assigned territory and consistent virtual touchpoints with remote locations.
Essential Job Functions
Business Ownership & Sales Execution
- Deliver and achieve sales plans and productivity benchmarks aligned with Dillard’s and Dior growth strategies.
- Manage and execute Dior sales plans in partnership with Store Management and Dior associates.
- Prepare and execute strategic business plans utilizing the retail calendar, event schedules, new launches, prior year trends, and store initiatives.
- Increase market share and in-store brand penetration.
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies to grow customer base and increase client loyalty by door and by associate.
- Drive consistent utilization of Dillard’s clientele systems to build new and existing customer relationships.
- Create and direct the execution of programmed and counter-created events, including pre-event planning, in-event leadership, and post-event follow-up strategies.
- Plan and execute four regional events annually, achieving minimum productivity expectations per event.
- Develop and implement cross-selling strategies to grow both beauty and fragrance categories.
- Partner with Beauty Sales Managers and Store Managers to identify opportunities, evaluate market conditions, and secure resources needed to grow the Dior business.
- Maintain consistent communication with Dior and Dillard’s leadership partners to ensure alignment on product knowledge, expectations, and brand standards.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Participate in the selection of high-performing Beauty Stylists and Counter Managers in partnership with Store Management and Dior partners.
- Effectively recommend and participate in hiring, promotion, assignment, and compensation decisions.
- Recommend and administer disciplinary action, up to and including discharge, in coordination with Store leadership.
- Develop and execute onboarding programs and ongoing education initiatives to elevate service, selling, and artistry standards.
- Maintain high-performing teams through consistent coaching, motivation, and performance management.
- Set, communicate, and monitor productivity and service goals.
- Conduct ongoing performance evaluations and provide actionable feedback.
- Review key performance metrics including Sales Productivity, Average Unit Sale, Items per Transaction, Fragrance Sales, and staffing needs on a monthly basis.
- Drive Customer Relationship Management initiatives to identify and maximize sales opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with senior-level executives within both Dillard’s and Dior organizations.
Travel & Territory Management
- Travel regularly throughout assigned states (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, and Illinois) to support eight Dillard’s locations.
- Conduct virtual touch-base meetings with remote stores as required.
- Adhere to established travel budgets in partnership with leadership.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated analytical and math skills.
- Ability to interpret sales reports and translate data into actionable strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Time management proficiency with the ability to prioritize across multiple locations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

- Ability to inspire and model Dior brand image and service standards.
Position Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of relevant retail, beauty, or leadership experience required.
- Willingness and ability to travel within assigned multi-state territory.
- Ability to host virtual meetings and support remote locations.
- Preferred residence in the Cincinnati, OH market.
