Core Responsibilities (The Backend)
You will own the technical ecosystem. You are expected to operate with zero hand-holding on the following:
- AI-Driven Development: Using Gemini and other AI tools to generate clean, responsive front-end code based on client intake forms.
- Hosting & Server Management: Managing our server environment via FTP/SFTP. You will be responsible for folder structure, directory permissions, and organization.
- DNS & Domain Management: You must be an expert in DNS records (A-Records, CNAMEs, MX Records). You will handle the "plumbing" to ensure that when a client buys a domain, it points to our server instantly.
- Site Optimization: Ensuring fast load times, mobile responsiveness, and basic SEO (meta tags/headers) are baked into every launch.
- Troubleshooting: Independently resolving SSL certificate issues, 404 errors, and propagation delays.
Workflow & Expectations
- The Intake: I send you the client name, industry, and branding preferences.
- The Mockup: Within 15 minutes, you generate a high-fidelity mockup using our AI workflow for my sales call.
- The Launch: Once the deal is closed, you move the site from the staging environment to the live domain.
- The Hand-off: You provide me with a live URL and verify that all contact forms and links are functional.
Required Skills & Experience
- Mastery of FTP/SFTP: You should be able to navigate a server directory in your sleep (FileZilla, Cyberduck, or command line).
- DNS Expert: You understand how to manage registrars like GoDaddy, Namecheap, and Cloudflare.
- AI Native: You know how to talk to Gemini/ChatGPT to get high-quality web layouts without manual coding from scratch.
- Efficiency Obsessed: You are constantly looking for ways to shave 5 minutes off the build time without sacrificing quality.
- Full Ownership: When a technical issue arises, you find the solution. You don't ask "what do I do?"—you tell me "it's fixed."
Compensation & Hours
- Type: 1099 Independent Contractor.
- Rate: $250.00 Flat Fee per site. * Volume: We are scaling. Expect 3–5 sites per week initially, with potential for much higher volume as we grow.
- Schedule: 100% Remote. Flexible hours. As long as you hit our "1-hour turnaround" during business hours, you manage your own time.
