Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer for their manufacturing operations near Bethlehem, PA. Our client is currently seeking candidates who are in the local area or within driving distance.
They are prepared to provide a SIGN ON relocation bonus to assist candidates who are NOT in the local area, but within driving distance of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive initiatives aimed at improving product quality metrics and reducing costs associated with nonconformance. Leverage customer feedback, audit results, and production data to identify opportunities for ongoing improvement.
- Collaborate with manufacturing operations and engineering partners to develop, sustain, and enhance quality processes that ensure product safety and consistency.
- Enable plant teams to achieve quality objectives by leading structured problem-solving efforts and root cause analyses; provide guidance and coaching to production personnel and quality representatives.
- Champion the application of statistical process control (SPC) tools by implementing standards, monitoring trends, and escalating issues when variation is detected. Lead corrective and preventive actions grounded in data-driven analysis.
- Support successful product launches by partnering with product development teams to verify that new products meet defined performance and reliability expectations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field is required.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing or quality-focused role.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings and product specifications.
- Hands-on experience using measurement, inspection, and laboratory instruments.
- Proficiency with statistical and data analysis methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate test methods and prepare clear, accurate test reports.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a strong aptitude for analytical thinking and problem solving.
