Our Client is seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance on employment and immigration matters across multiple business units. This role serves as the primary legal partner for HR leaders, senior management, and executives, helping the organization navigate compliance, mitigate risk, and support key initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings strong employment law expertise, litigation experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse operational teams. This is a high‑visibility opportunity for a legal professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys advising stakeholders at all levels.
This is a hybrid position requiring an on-site presence 3 to 4 days per week. Please note that the number of days on-site can increase based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily legal counsel related to employment compliance, workplace policies, and risk mitigation.
- Lead and develop strategies for employment-related legal matters, including litigation and pre‑litigation issues.
- Manage outside counsel, including cost oversight and performance evaluation.
- Direct responses to government agency filings and other employment complaints.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to support company‑wide initiatives, policies, and strategic projects.
- Create and deliver training for internal teams on legal updates, compliance topics, and organizational priorities.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- 6+ years of legal practice, including experience in both law firm and in‑house environments.
- Litigation background required; immigration experience is a plus.
