A mission-driven Behavioral Health & Substance Use Treatment Hospital in Pennsylvania is seeking a dynamic, visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organization into its next chapter of impact, growth, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
Governance & Executive Leadership
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Hospital, the Board of Directors, and the Medical Staff.
- Provide regular reports to the Board regarding hospital operations, performance, and relevant federal, state, and local healthcare developments.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Board President and ensure timely reporting on strategic and operational matters.
- Develop and implement strategic plans that support the Hospital’s mission, growth, and long-term sustainability.
- Establish and enforce organizational policies and procedures that support patient safety, employee safety, and equitable treatment for all clients served.
Program Oversight & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all treatment services meet or exceed applicable federal, state, and accreditation standards.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs that incorporate evidence-based practices.
- Promote a patient-centered approach emphasizing dignity, safety, and recovery outcomes.
- In collaboration with the Medical Staff, oversee and implement programs related to:
- Utilization Review
- Infection Control
- Risk Management
- Performance Improvement
- Establish procedures for reporting unusual incidents and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions.
- Ensure proper notification to the Department of Health during emergencies or service disruptions.
Financial & Operational Management
- Provide overall fiscal leadership and financial stewardship for the Hospital.
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget in collaboration with the financial team.
- Oversee funding sources, including grants, contracts, and private contributions.
- Ensure efficient allocation and use of organizational resources.
- Review the annual financial audit and maintain strong financial accountability.
- Prepare and present monthly operational and financial reports to the Board of Directors.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and licensing requirements governing hospital operations.
- Implement policies and systems that manage organizational risk and promote ethical practices.
- Ensure adherence to all contractual and regulatory obligations.
Staff Leadership & Organizational Development
- Recruit, develop, and retain a highly qualified leadership team and workforce.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, diversity, and continuous improvement.
- Support professional development and workforce training.
- Conduct leadership evaluations and support succession planning for key positions.
Qualifications
Education
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Public Health (MPH), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or a related field required.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of executive leadership experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment services, or a related healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, crisis management, financial oversight, and organizational growth.

Certifications & Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to use a personal vehicle.
- Must be free from communicable or infectious diseases.
- Valid PA Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Background Check, and Criminal Background Check required.
