About the Role
MedWorkforce.ai is seeking an experienced U.S.-based Medical Assistant to serve as an operational advisor throughout the development of a healthcare technology platform.
This role goes beyond standard medical assisting duties. The selected candidate will guide workflow design and provide real-world insight across multiple stages of platform development, ensuring that clinical, administrative, and compliance processes reflect actual U.S. healthcare operations.
Compensation: $25–$40 per hour (based on experience).
Role Scope
You will provide advisory input across areas, including:
- Patient intake and front-desk workflow design
- Appointment scheduling processes
- Insurance eligibility and prior authorization workflows
- Documentation standards and clinical record handling
- HIPAA-compliant handling of Protected Health Information (PHI)
- General operational alignment with U.S. healthcare practices
You will collaborate with our development team to ensure the platform mirrors real-world clinic and hospital procedures.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- We are prioritizing candidates with hands-on experience in:
- Private medical practices or physician-owned clinics
- Urgent care or outpatient specialty clinics
- Small group practices or mid-market healthcare organizations
- Offices where staff regularly wear multiple hats (clinical + administrative responsibilities)
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a U.S.-based outpatient medical practice
- Strong working knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Familiarity with CMS and U.S. healthcare compliance standards
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems commonly used by independent practices
- Practical understanding of insurance verification and authorization workflows
- Ability to clearly explain operational processes to a technical team
