Job Description
Step Up Better Living is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Website Developer/Website Manager to support ongoing website maintenance, backend cleanup, content updates, and new page creation. This is a part-time contract role requiring approximately 20–25 hours per month with a flexible schedule and regular monthly check-ins with the Operations Manager and Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized website backend
- Remove outdated pages, drafts, templates, plugins, scripts, and unused files
- Conduct monthly website health checks (links, navigation, forms, responsiveness)
- Fix broken or mislabeled internal links
- Maintain accurate SEO elements such as page titles and meta descriptions
- Create 1–2 new website pages per month as needed
- Remove or replace outdated website pages when necessary
- Organize and optimize the website media library (images and files)
- Participate in one monthly planning meeting to review upcoming programs and updates
- Provide a brief monthly summary of work completed
Requirements
- Proven experience maintaining and updating websites (WordPress preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and backend organization
- Ability to troubleshoot minor website issues independently
- Familiarity with SEO basics (metadata, page titles, descriptions)
- Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
