Summary
The Business Development Professional will be responsible for identifying qualified leads, managing the sales process, and securing new business while consistently building long-term relationships with prospects.
Key Activities
- Responsible for acquiring new clients as well as managing existing ones while aligning the sales process to the customer’s buying process from prospect to close.
- Actively network with a broad base of prospects from our served industries and identify opportunities that align with the company's capabilities.
- Effectively and efficiently manages the entire new business sales pipeline to ensure that the business goals are met.
- Identify and attend key conferences and trade shows to increase company visibility and business opportunities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop sales strategies based on market research and competitor analyses, and execute the sales plan accordingly.
- Responsible for developing and writing proposals for submission to prospective clients as well as initiating and facilitating pre-work with a client as needed (e.g., CDA/NDA, MSA, SOW, meeting preparations).
- Responsible for negotiating contracts and agreements.
- Create and maintain sales forecasts and prospect information using a dedicated CRM system.
Preferred Skills
- Proven track record of effectively driving large-scale partnering initiatives in the US market.
- Effective in creating customer value, negotiation and closing, consultative selling, and effective sales presentation.
Educations & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in life sciences or a related field required; an advanced degree is a plus. Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in a CRO environment, focused on bioanalysis and biomarkers, translational sciences (clinical pharmacology/pharmacometrics). Experience with biologics CMC analytical services is a strong plus.
- Experience managing projects from inception to completion, including leading the development of a forecast achievement timeline.
