Overview
We’re hiring a Front-End Developer to maintain and extend our custom WordPress theme built with PHP, JavaScript, SCSS, JSON, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF). This theme is central to our daily site builds and ongoing edits for hosted clients. Projects may also include jQuery and one-off custom coding tasks.
This is an in-person, in-office role. Please do not apply if you are outside of a reasonable commuting distance to downtown Glendora Village.
In this role, you will contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of dynamic websites and web applications. You'll work closely with experienced developers and designers to bring creative ideas to life, ensuring seamless functionality, appealing design, and optimal user experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing responsive websites and web applications using PHP, SCSS, JSON and JavaScript/jQuery, along with Advanced Custom Fields.
- Collaborate with team members to implement wireframes and designs using our custom ACF theme tools, blocking out website modules and determining the best way to standardize styling across large web systems.
- Support our current clients by helping to manage hosting accounts, website back-end and front-end updates
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and debugging processes to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Assist in deploying applications using Local tools along with GitHub
- Maintain version control using Git, ensuring smooth collaboration across the development team.
Experience
- Demonstrate familiarity with front-end development technologies including HTML5, CSS3 (and SCSS), JavaScript (and TypeScript), Bootstrap, and responsive web design principles.
- Knowledge of system architecture concepts and experience working within an Agile environment are advantageous.
- Familiarity with tools like Visual Studio Code, Asana, GitHub, and Figma will support your success in this role.
- Passion for learning new technologies, figuring out and solving problems, and building for the web, along with a strong desire to help further clients' business goals.

Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year
