Studio Mesa is a boutique residential interior design studio working on an expanding roster of exciting projects from California to the Hudson Valley. We’re looking for a part-time Interior Design Assistant to jump in and support the design process across multiple projects.
This is a hands-on role with real responsibility and strong opportunity to grow with the team. If you enjoy the operations side of design, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want visibility into how a small studio actually operates, you’ll likely be a great fit.
The role is remote, though candidates based in the Hudson Valley or NYC area may have opportunities for occasional on-site experience.
THE BASICS:
- 10-20 hours per week to start
- $-30$40/hour depending on experience
- Flexible schedule, but consistent availability is important
YOU'LL HELP WITH:
- SketchUp modeling (proficiency required)
- Space planning and floor plans
- Creating visuals and renderings for presentations
- Product and material sourcing
- Procurement support and order expediting
- Project organization and coordination
- Administrative support
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL...
- Have professional interior design experience (high-end residential preferred)
- Be strong in SketchUp and comfortable jumping into existing files
- Work efficiently and keep pace in a fast-moving environment
- Have strong design instincts and visual judgment
- Have knowledge of materials and finishes
- Be organized and detail oriented
- Communicate clearly and feel comfortable working remotely
- Be curious about how a design business operates, not just the creative side
BONUS POINTS FOR:
- Layout, Adobe, or rendering experience
- Procurement or vendor coordination exposure
- Hudson Valley / NYC proximity
