Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Web Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing engaging, user-friendly websites that align with our brand identity and business goals. This role requires a strong foundation in digital design, interaction design, and web development, with an emphasis on usability, accessibility, and visual appeal. The Web Designer will collaborate closely with developers, marketers, and content creators to deliver innovative digital experiences across various platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop visually compelling website layouts using wireframing and layout design techniques.
- Create engaging graphics, motion graphics, logos, and visual elements utilizing Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects.
- Design responsive web interfaces ensuring optimal usability and accessibility across devices using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and responsive web design principles.
- Implement front-end development tasks with JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React, integrating features such as AJAX and Redux for dynamic content updates.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to enhance user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) designs.
- Optimize websites for SEO using best practices in content management systems like WordPress or Drupal.
- Maintain websites through regular updates, website maintenance tasks, and content management system management.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless integration of designs with back-end technologies such as PHP, MySQL, Node.js, and SQL databases.
- Use analytics tools like Google Analytics 360 and Adobe Analytics to analyze user data and improve website performance.
- Stay current with emerging trends in digital marketing, web accessibility standards, information architecture, and web analytics to continually improve design quality.
Skills
- Proficiency in digital design tools including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, Sketch, Axure, Balsamiq.
- Strong understanding of web design principles such as typography, layout design, visual design, UI/UX best practices.
- Experience with front-end development languages including HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/SASS), JavaScript (Angular, React), PHP, Bootstrap.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards and usability principles to create inclusive designs.
- Familiarity with content management systems like WordPress and Drupal for website management and updates.
- Ability to develop wireframes and prototypes using tools like Visio or Balsamiq for effective communication of ideas.
- Data analysis skills utilizing Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics to inform design decisions.
- Experience with SEO optimization techniques and digital marketing strategies such as email marketing campaigns via Mailchimp or similar platforms.
- Understanding of version control systems like Git for collaborative development workflows.
- Knowledge of server-side technologies including MySQL or SQL databases; experience with Node.js or React Express is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate client needs into functional designs while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
